Is there any advantage of putting 400ex front shocks on with the upper shock mount relocator bracket. But still keep the 300ex a arms. Do you get anymore travel or would it just be a waste of time?

Im not too sure but I dont think you can even do that without the 400's a-arms. Try searching this I'm sure there is a vast wealth of information.

Yes it can be done. In fact it is better with stock a arms than with 400ex/250r a arms because you retain the stock geometry and gain travel. 400ex length aftermarket shocks can be built for this setup but I wouldn't recommend using stock 400ex shocks. The stock 400ex shocks may not bottom out before the a arms go through their travel.(not good) Also the valving will be slightly different.

LMAO! Yeah. That's basically it with the stock 400ex shocks. Aftermarket ones built for the setup should work very well though.
