yfz450 shocks on 400ex

Hey with everyone putting 450r shocks on their ex's people start asking more for the stock R shocks. I'm wondering if yfz's shocks will fit a 400 with as little mods as a R shock. any input will help because I'm going to end up getting either the R or YFZ shocks dual or triple rated and totally redone soon. But I want to know if the yfz shocks fit first. thanks mitch

The R shocks are easier to do, but I have seen a 400 on here w/ yfz shocks. They do require quite a bit more work to make them fit.

do a search about this with my name. i did this on my old 400ex and it worked pretty well. and the mods the the shock aren't hard if you can find a machinist.

I did a search but didn't find it. do u have a link to it? I need better suspension and I want piggback. and I don't have the money for an elka thanks mitch
