i knew it would be lower than 450's but thats a little more than i expected. That suprises me that now EVERYONE is trying to pawn off their 250 for a 450.

yfz and the 450r are both coming in at 350, the 250r doesnt weight that much less

Straight out of the '86 owners manual the dry weight is 328 pounds.

I thought the yfz and the 450r were around 370 lbs? Which would be about a 40lb difference. That is significant.

I was under the impression mine was 310-315 wet but maybe the scale was broken or something.:huh

Any idea what an aftermarket framed one with light parts would weigh? With like titanium walsh parts and titanium exhaust? Just wondering. I think I remember hearing that someone made a titanium framed quadf for point de vaux a few years ago.

450r specs (http://powersports.honda.com/atvs/sport/model.asp?ModelName=TRX450R&ModelYear=2006&ModelId=TRX450R6)

so wet they would be about 370, but i was saying dry weight since wet weight varies...

Well thats good for me, as long as people keep selling/parting their R's. The better for me. Personally I don't see what the craze is about. Their not spectacular machines.

250r's are also not 255lbs. I thought it was between 340 and 350.

with a full tank, full tranny, and antifreeze a stock R goes about 350-360. A full after market R with extended a-arms and a chro-mo swinger is even more.
I dont know why anyone even bothers listing DRY weight, when is the last time you rode your quad with no fuel, oil, or antifreeze ??:huh
My Walsh R with a full tank, front and rear beadlocks, and an aluminum airbox goes about 375lbs.
Dry weight on a yfz is claimed 350, thats stock with aluminum swingarm and aluminum upper a-arms. put ni almost 3 gallons of gas, all the oil, antifreeze thats another 40lbs :ermm: so your at about 390 !!
