blowing fuses all the time

Hi all

Chasing some help please.......

My wife has a 400 ex that will always blow the main power fuse (down near the battery) when the following conditions are met

1) Bike is warm....
2) Only blows when you turn the ignition key switch off

search for a ground somewhere

sometimes where your wires go down beside the steering stem will wear thru the plastic and short there also, and as said above check all grounds, battery/coil....

check by the headlight assembly my wires wore threw their and i always blew fuses . try keeping your lights off and then seeing if you blow a fuse

Check the rubber boot that goes over the wiring harness (down by the battery). My son's 400ex blew a fuse every time the boot slipped off the harness. I never did find the short but knew it was in the harness somewhere. As long as we kept the boot in place didn't blow a fuse.
