Round 4 of the Southern Ohio Cross Country Series – Saturday September 17th, 2005
The SOCCS, fresh of the summer break, rolls into Hillsboro, Ohio on Saturday September 17th, for Round 4 at Happy Hollow Dirt Park. Park Manager Ora Elliott expects record turnout for the event.
The 2005 SOCCS is a 5 race series at two locations, Happy Hollow Dirt Park and Humboldt Hills Motorcycle Club. With a series banquet at the end of the season.
There are classes for just about every age group or size of Atv and Dirt Bike. People from all over Ohio and the surrounding states, will drive for hours on end to compete or just see what it is like to race in the woods.
This year will complete the second full season of the SOCCS. Series promoter Jay Wile states, “ We never expected it to get so big, so fast. The people that attend the races are what keep us going. I’ve never had a job that received so much positive feedback.”
The races offer plenty for the spectator as well, with numerous hill climbs, and a motocross section, it’s easy to find the action spots.
