Is the White bros block of any good? Dose it have a rubber seal? Do I actualy need the block off or can I just diss connect the parking brake cable? My problem is that I am going through pads realy fast. In order to solve this problem Do I have to actualy remove all the guts of the parking brake and put a block off on?

Yes, you need to remove the entire P-Brake assembly.

The WB blockoff plate works fine. It just keeps the mud/water/dirt out of your brake caliper.

I put the White Bros. block off plate on a couple years ago with a little bead of silicone on it. I just took if off a week ago to check and there isn't a spec of dirt inside. Very nice product.

I'm on my third set of back pads now and still have the original fronts on since new (2003).

It all depends on what your riding in. Last season was really muddy so I blew though a set in no time. This years drier and their lasting alot better.

Hard to say whether the block off plate makes any difference but it looks alot cooler. And just think of the weight savings.

With the Parking brake setup that comes stock seems to make the rear brake pads stay on the rotor. I think the best thing to do is take it right off. I put on a Moose Racing block off.

I have originol pads on my quad all the way around. scence 2001!. the back ones are fried. and the rotor is bent from a rock so i dont bother buying new pads because it would eat through them in a seccond. the front ones are wearing fast latley because I dont use the rear one much anymore. lol

rockymountainatv has a tusk blockoff for $7.99 I think and the prices go up to about $20 from there. There are many clutch levers you can run. RTC makes a good ez pull lever and the price is right too. I think they are around $60 new. If you want to spend more get a ASV or even a magura. You can also find cheaper ones on eBay but I have heard issues with the cheaper ones wearing out cables.
