I have a 05 Z400 with air filter, 1 tooth bigger front sprocket, full exhaust, and jets. I want to get a little more speed. Would cams affect the reliability a lot? Would it put more wear and tear on the engine and cause more rebuilds. And also which kind should i get? Hotcams stage 2 intake and exhaust? Thanks!

If you are looking for more top end power both cams would help. A fcr carb would also help without effecting reliability.

hot cams make the engine rev up quick but with that one tooth up it still might lag a bit when i did my cams i ran a 13 tooth and i loved it it had bottom end all day long and when i did my 440 kit and the fcr carb i went to the 15tooth in front cause it pulled so hard with the 13 tooth i could take off in third and wheelly all day in 5th
