well i jus bought another ex and my cuzin bought a blaster he is claimin too the whole family his quad is faster then mine we are going riden next sat. i nedd sum proof rite now to save him some embarrisment i want to know which 1 you guys think is faster

here are the mods on both.
2002 400ex (mine)
fmf titanium 4 slip on
k&n pro power up kit
jet kit
surtrak rears
bandits up front
renthal bars
full skids'

2003 blaster (his)
pro taper bars
ac nerfs

now i know this is a stupid qestion too ask you guys but he is raly stubborn and i need proof to shut him up

dude this is a no brainer, you could probably be faster than him in 3rd gear. people that think blasters are fast are smokin somethin serious :bandit: ........

as long as he isnt alot lighter than you, the blaster wont hang drag racing if it is all stock. now i have seen some blasters bored and piped that will smoke a stock or slightly modded 400ex. now if yall are racing on a track or some sort of course, it comes down to riding skills. my wife had a blaster and it was fun and pretty quick, but would hang with a 400ex.

but u will still blow it away
if u dont beat it then u need to learn how to ride

my old blaster isnt even close to as fast as my ex is.....granted the ex is a 440 but still :-D

u could wheelie the whole time and beat a stock blaster

it depends if its a drag or what if its a short race then you will lose

A blaster tops out at about 55 and your 400ex is good to about 65mph. You will easily blow him away and if he beats you sell your quad and never ride again.

The better rider, although you have the advantage with the plusher, more powerful quad, but I have seen some poor riders beaten by lesser machines.

you said that it is a rough trail? if that blaster is stock, the front end will beat the hell out of him. that was the one gripe i had about the blaster i bought my wife, NO FRONT SUSPENSION!! but a woods race depends on rider skills. good luck!
