My head pipe was covered in mud that would not come off so i took my headpipe off and sanded it completly down. I now want to paint the headpipe a different color and didnt know what type of paint to use. Is there a type of ceramic spray paint that will withstand those types of temps? I know calipers get real hot and thought maybe caliper paint would work but I dont know. Any suggestions welcome.

Check with a local *compentant* exhaust shop. There is a shop around me that does Jet Hot coating for headers and such. I believe it done in house with less than a week turn around time. Very competitive pricing. I'm sure that coating a head pipe would be very reasonable, if not cheap. The shop around me can do either just outside coating, or both inside and outside.
