what will really suck it when something hits one of the front wheels then what are you going to do, no one sell replacements and doubt that think can take a hit faster 5mph

i stand corrected, I just like the fact that they dared to be different. Also i like their choice of powerplant for the eraser.

why does it need 2 rear shocks???

Looks nice, but doesn't strike me as very durable. Unless it is all made of titanium and then the price will be so high that no one will be able to afford it.

i wondered the same thing:confused: i guess they figured somthing out to improve the ride quality and suspension.

guess you couldnt make the front end any wider for mx, but its pretty wide as it stands.

im pretty sure they had a shootout with one of those and a ds650x in dirtwheels a while back. i think they said the eraser was quicker, def. made for the dunes anyways.

The old ones ranged from $13,000 to $17,000 dependeing on the options you got.

hum, sorry to bust your bubble, but this is not true. Their is so many grade of steel and of titanium that you can't say that steel is stronger than titanium.

but, usual steels that are machinable have approximate ultimate strenght of about 100k psi max, compared to strenghts up to 300k psi for titanium.

Titanium also have the highest ratio of strenght vs weight of any metals

I thought per weight that titamium was stronger then steel.

yes both metals have very many grades, but if you get high grade crome molly then it is actualy much stronger in most applications than militery (very high grade) ti

Them things are pretty cool i wonder how they compare to the other quads?

There was a shootout in a dirtwheels a while ago with that and the DS. I think the machine bases for around $8000 without an engine if Im not mistaken. You can have nearly any 4-stroke dirtbike enigne dropped in, most commonly used is the ktm 525. Then you can also get different suspension packages on them as well. Also I forget why they used the two shocks in the rear but check out that axle setup, not likely that you will bend and axle on that quad. Also that funny front end design is actually extremely durable, but it has really twitchy handling. They said the DS was easier to turn and slide, but the eraser is definitley faster. Ill see if I can dig up the dirtwheels sometime with more info.

i so wish it wasnt 8grand for a rolling chassis, i wanted to drop my 450 motor in there so bad, but 8 grand? psshhhh!

whoa, im thoroughly impressed way to go euros, thats an identical front end setup to the 1984 trx 200 from almost 20 years ago....

maybe there is a lack of chassis builders there and they can get euro motors cheaper than us so they build stuff like this...ill stick with a dual a arm setup and rear mx bike style linkage....

there rear suspension is similar to late 70s mx bikes too, those lower shock mounts wow...bolted onto the swingarm..whole things looks cheesy

good for them, there the only ones to go back and refine 20 -30 yr old technology that every other manufactuer has abandoned

By "stronger", what do you want to say? Higher ultimate strenght, higher yield strenght, higher fatigue strenght??? Because I doubt that even the highest grade of chromoly has a strenght equivalent to titanium, and I design parts from steel and many other materials every day and I only know a few alloy that can have strenghts close to titanium, but when you compare weight vs strenght, titanium is always stronger.

ok im sorry i had a brain fart, for some reason i forgot we were talking about weight vs wieght, i dunno why i just reread the posts and saw it written like 3 times, but last night i thought were were talking about size or volume or w/e
