Well the time has come to upgrade the rear sneakers on the fo hundy. Ive narrowed it down to the Irazr and Razr2 but figured id ask the pros first since you guys know which terrain each tire likes.

I ride alot in the stone quarry and climb alot of stone stockpile hills consisting of 3/4 to 1-1/2" stone. The rest of the time I trail ride and do the usual wheelies and jumps. I wanted the side tread of the Irazrs because I figured it would be good for when im turning on the stone hills.. Then I thought about how the lugs are so far apart that ill probably chew them apart. Any input before I take the plunge?

With the description of what you ride you would be better off getting the Razr 1. Look at the GNCC Pros. They only use the I razr and Razr 2 for muddy races. The rest of the time they run the Razr 1.

actually they run razr1 on most all types of terrain ( dirt, roots, rocky trails with creeks ) and on the sloppy days run the I-razr. There are very few that run a razr2 in the pro ranks anymore. But if your choice is razr2 or I-razr, the razr2 would definitly be better for the rocks and trails because of the closer tread pattern

another tire to consider would be the kenda klaws for XC. from what i have heard they hook up very well on the looser stuff, and at $50-55, their a lot more reasonable that the $65 youll pay for the razr 2's.

I run the Razr2's in GNCC and love them. They hook up on everything. I am not a pro by any stretch but they work damn well for the common folk gitten down the trail...

Razor2's will last much longer in the harder rocky terrain.

Them pros are replacing there IRAZOR tires after every race:(

I picked up Razr 1's on www.rockymountainatv.com for $40 per tire. A couple parts dealers locally wanted $72 each. They hook up mint. A friend of mine has the IRazrs and hates them. Personal opinions i guess.

The I razors work great in soft stuff and mud, but don't last for anything on hard pack or rocks. Razor 2's will last a long time.
