buell's are strange bikes. My dad ownes a cyclone (1200), its a crazy fast bike, gets good gas mileage....but the retail value just hit the ****ter. He got his for like $3100 about 8 months ago and that was a killer deal. He couldnt find one cheaper than like $4000, so he got it shipped from florida to NY. Now he was looking to sell and would be lucky to get like $2800-3k.

Never had a problem with it, only thing he dosent like is not very comfortable for long rides, and it has no gas gauge so he ran out about 2x's on a high way.

do you guys think its worth the extra 2 grand
xb9 $8,000 92hp 70ft-lb
xb12 $10,000 103hp 84ft-lb

I dont think its worth it

is this your first bike? if so, dont get a buell please! parts are expensive, and if you wreck, you may very well mess up the frame which is the gas tank, or the swingarm, which if memory serves, is the oil tank... i would go get a normal 600 or the xb9 if you have to. but if it isnt your first, i think the xb12 is the way to go, 10 hp is a hell of a lot on a bike, plus 300 more cc's...

The frame holds the gas and the swinger holds the oil? Wtf!?!?!?

pretty wild design right?? that makes the "gas tank" a fake for an airbox...

overall, the buell is a pretty tight bike, i dont feel it is as up to technology as the jap bikes, but it is still sweet nonetheless! i dont like the belt drive, but they have chain conversions for that, the passenger is probably gonna slip onto you and put more weight on your wrists, and not having a full windscreen bothers me a lot... but, the front brake rotor is bad arse, its a torque monster, but i prefer the firebolt myself
