Curious....do UNI air filters come preoiled or do you need to get the oil/cleaner kit as soon as you buy the filter?

thanks

crap....just bought one...thought it be oiled, do you have one and do you use the "UNI" oil and cleaner or is there a easier solution to cleaning/oiling it

I take mine spray it down with PJ1 filter cleaner to get the grime off, then I use a hose and soap, and clean it real good, then let it dry in the sun or in a nice warm place, then oil it with bel-ray foam filter oil. I put the oil in a little flat rubbermaid container, then dip the filter in and roll it around. Squeeze it a bunch to spread it out, then ring out the excess and your ready to roll. I also have about 3 of these filters to allow one to dry while I have another ready to go.:macho

I also have an UNI filter on my kfx, i think i'll buy a second one to always have one clean and ready to use.

And to clean it, i use Simple Green, that works like a charm. than I oil it with IPONE spray foam filter, but i'll try the bel-ray foam filter oil next time. Or if you use spray oil, i think you should spray oil inside also, at least that's what i'll do next time.

My brother swears by the No-Toil oil and cleaner, he says the oil seals pretty good, no fine powder in the intake tract (and we've been riding in some crappy dust) and the cleaner makes cleaning a snap.

I have some notoil cleaner, but usually first i clean filter with simple green than with notoil, and filter looks like new.
But i'll try bel-ray or notoil oil next time, because not sure if Ipone is that good.
