250x Electric Start using 300ex Parts

The kickstarter broke and I'm tired of kicking this thing, after reasearching this I think the problems will be
1.Will the starter ring bearing and flywheel from a 300 will fit on the 250 crank
2.The case will need a hole for the starter idler gear shaft from the 300.

The 250x (1991)_is in the barn at the cabin so I don't have it to look at or have any 300 parts, but maybe some one has tried to do this will chime in.

i think the cranks are different,at least the 300 has a longer stroker so im not sure if the flywheel would fit.it would almost be easier to just pick up a 300ex bottom end.

Yep I think I hit a road block with these 2 time to get a 300 motor and swap all the new bearings I already bought for the 250:(

nope it will work u just need a new side case and the hwole starter mechanism

So if thats it then all I need is left case and cover and my crank will work it sounds easy enough,but still might get a 300 motor for all the parts cause seperate parts cost more.
