This past weekend I noticed when I took off my clutch was slipping but when it warmed up it went away. I was told my clutch is worn, so would I be better off buying an aftermarket clutch kit or a stock clutch kit. I also heard of people removing a clutch disk???? Please help guide me:)

Check your clutch lever slack-if no slack it will burn your clutches!
Pull the cover after draining tranny side oil. If the plates look black to dark brown, replace all frictions and steels. Anytime we pull the cover and the plates look tan( like new) we know no slippage has occured.Check spring color and height, replace if distorted or discolored.

You can remove the judder spring assy. ( inside of last friction in-2 pieces)and replace with a full plate (like outer plates). This gives more holding power but causes accelerated basket wear! Be sure to soak all plates for at least 1 hr. in fresh oil!
