you have all these sponsors and mods to your quad and you dont know how to clean an air filter?

anyway, i use a filter cleaner, rinse, apply oil, let it dry and reinstall

no, i just never fooled with a foam filter really i've always used K&N's on all my quads. I havnt put on my pipe for my R yet so I don't need the K&N yet.

Depends on how much s*** is in your filter. Very dirty, best off will a oil-based cleaner

i just raced this weekend and used bel ray filter oil and it worked great...i cleaned it out first with kerosene and then used the bel ray and it really ran great for a stock bike

I use belray cleaner and oil. Works good. I think the cleaner is just kerosene in a spray can as far as I can tell.

You should use a foam filter oil for foam filters. K&N filters are cloth. I'm pretty sure the oils are different.

to correct my self from earlier, I do not use Belray cleaner & oil. I use CJ and it works just fine.

The foam filter oil is lot thicker and stickier. Than the k&n oil.

soap and water will work just fine. It will take alittle more elbow grease but it will do fine.
