good places to get shocks done

I have a set of old PEP lmt mass shocks i would like to get re done this winter and am wondering what some good places are that have fast turn around and do a good job.

Anyone know if the lmt mass shocks can be made into a zero preload setup?

I have a no link rear (250R) that I was told uses a CR500 shock. The frame appears to be stock geometry. Is this a somewhat common setup? Am I going to have trouble getting someone to set this up?

You either have a No Link or a CR500 rear end, not both. If the shock connects directly to the swingarm then it's a no link and if there is a linkage that looks like a dirtbike linkage it is a cr500.

The guy I got the bike from says it was a CR500 shock setup to run on a no link swinger. I was never sure of this myself because I didnt figure a CR500 would have such a long shock. I should measure it sometime

if you have the shock? If the bottom shock mount is a fork then it is most likely a CR500 and if it is a non fork mount then it's a No-Link.

its just a normal eye hole type mount like front shocks are. It IS a no link, Im running it right now on my no link swinger. If Cr500 shocks have that forked mount like 250R shocks do then it is deffinately not a Cr500 shock. Probably all a shock builder needs to know is shock length and shock mount locations anway so it doesnt matter.

tell the shock builder your not sure what it is, and he can tell you what measurement he will need you to take for him. that way your set up right, and with the measurements, he can probably tell you what it is exactly
