400ex axle

I have a 400ex with stock swinger and axle. But when I grab my grab bar and move it from side to side, the swingarm pops loudly, like it's not tight in the swingarm. I've adjusted my chain tensioner tight but it didn't do much. any advice?

its the bearings in the carrier you need to replace them immediatly before it does damage to your carrier if it already hasnt. also replace all of the O-rings and seals.

are you sure that's what it is? is there any way to check or is there anything else that could be wrong?

Pick the back end up with the grab bar til the tires get off the ground and have someone grab the tire and shake it. If the bearings are out you should be able to see the axle move in the carrier.
