cracked case

I cracked my right case right behind the kick shaft. Its a small hairline crack bearly visible. I heard its from the needle bearings not being pressed completely. The bearings look all the way in. I ordered a new case and more. What do I need to do to keep this from happening again? Please help its kinda costly and a pain in the @$$.

on my old 300 the chain came off and put a nice size crack in the case. I used JB weld and it seemed fine

Are u sure its not from giving it gas while kicking over ?

I dont know how it happened. I bought it and everything was cool road it around for a while and got home and it was leaking. It doesnt leak when its cool. The crack is so small it would be hard to see in a picture. The crack is about an inch and a half long. It starts at the top of the tab for a bolt behind and lower then the kick shaft. Then runs down. My fear is putting it back together and this happens again. Your right though it could be from too much pressure from pumping throtle on start.

u are kicking it like a 2 stroke... read the manual on starting the bike.

I hope this helps. My photoshp skills suck. Thanks for the template Jersey450R. I think everything looks fine on the inside. I can take pics of the gears and post them tommarrow if needed. I just want to be sure this wont happen again. I dont know much about the guy who had it before me.

Sorry this is unrelated to your post but I noticed you live in LZ. I live right off of 22 in Barrington. I'm at school now but that would be sweet to get together sometime next summer and go ride somewhere. Good luck with the repairs! :)

Are you sure it wasn't there before you bought it?

Im sure it had to be there before I bought it. I havent been able to contact the prior owner.:mad: Plus hes 2 hours away.
