Help needed asap

Well i got an 04 kfx mods are in sig, i started riding the other day at a buddies houseand it started cutting out worst than anything i ever seen. i was clueless to what it was so i changed the plug and cleaned the carb real good, put all back together and runs the same if not worse. i dun think it has any thing to do with jetting cuz it was running fine and then started doing that, it jetted a lil lean, but i still dont think thats what it is, its a 142 with the pro-circuit pipe and twin air filter, w/ a few holes in the air lid. iIt almost sounds like its rev limiting at low rpms, sdo i was thinking somdin electrical, but any input would be greatly appreciiated, thanks

try new jets like i have a 165 in mine

im positive its something in the wiring it acts like its rev limiting at 2500 rpms

maybe ur cdi whent bad try buyin a new one or jus one off ebay to make sure its that

clean the on/off vale on the gas tank, mine was doing the same thing

My 03 z is bad about doin that with a bad tank of gas.... low octane would make her cough and splutter really bad when i romped on her.

I had problems sometimes when I used 87 octane but since I started using 91 I haven't really had a problem. Bad gas will also do that.

It sounds like CDI to me also. I had a procom for just over a year and one day it started hitting the rev limiter at right about 2500 rpm also. Ordered a new adjustable CDI and no probs since.
