i cant seem to find it on HMFs website, but whats the Db level of the normal HMF pipe and then what is it with the quiet core installed?

anyone with the quiet core have trouble riding in certain spots? i plan to start riding alot up in the mountain areas near me and dont wanna be hassled for having some pipe thats too noisy

all i know is that HMF's are very loud!...i was going to get one but with the quiet core in it still sounds very loud.

wow, thats loud...well the legal limit according to my DMV slip that came with my sticker, the highest level is like 98 or 99 offroad here in Ca....so im right on par ;)

i was told by hmf that its 105 db normal and 98 with the quiet core...its not bad with the quiet core..

Ya, I knew it was around 102......but my TC is like 125 :eek2:

That HMF db number is at idle, not wide open. The stocker at WOT is like 120. I know because I had a db meter.

oh crud, then can anyone suggest a pipe with very similar gains with less noise?

i think the park rangers here would have a shat fit over 120db...or do parks only measure your DBs at idle?

theres no way a stocker can me 120DB theres no way.....then i guess my tc is like 200 cause the tc makes an hmf almost sound like a stocker.

You have got to be smoking something man?lol a Tc on a YFZ is 125,and i dont think a stocker is 120 you on something
