Located in the foothills of south western Pennslyvania, Breezewood Proving Grounds (http://www.breezewoodprovinggrounds.com) was opened to the public for recreational ATV riding at all levels. Owner Dan Harris, a devoted ATV enthusiest, is doing his best to offer riders and family a place to gather and ride. The track is located on 50 acres and features 3 MX tracks, a small oval track and a kids track.

Camping is allowed, both primitive and cabin rentals are available. One feature that is not overlooked here is showers! Riding all day and being able to shower off is welcomed by everyone!

Owner Dan Harris is a quad guy, so when I rolled in I expected to see quad tracks, and he did not disappoint! Here is Dan airing out a stock and piped 400ex!

The main adult tracks are designed to offer riders of all abilities the chance to hone thier skills.

Dan explained..."I wanted jumps that anyone could do, but also wanted to design them so if a rider really wanted to go big he would have the chance"

Well, I am happy to say he succeeded. Most A level and Pro riders may find the jumps to tame, but even for that level, there is enough air to be had!

Dan airs out his 400ex over a 80 foot table!

Riding my 450R, my brother headed out to gather his own opinion of the tracks.

Upon entering the facility, the first track on your left is all tabletops. There is enough challenge in them to keep most riders more then happy.

There is always a good rythm to the layout, and on this track, only a few of the jumps were unable to be cleared by a handfull of riders. Ofcourse, just when you think you can't do it, along comes someone who shows you you can!

District 7 A Class points leader, ATVrider.com member and all around good guy, pgregg85 was on hand today and wasted no time getting accustomed to his YFZ.

There are not many tracks where you will find the owner joining in the fun, on the track and off! Dan's roots run deep in quad racing, and in hospitality.

A YFZ rider chases down a bike over a tabletop. Dan's residence is in the background. Now thats living right! Trackside anyone?:D

Everyone knows I am not a big air kind of guy, but was having a blast on this track. I only did not clear a few of the jumps, the rest had me smiling under my helmet, and a few UH OH's also:p

Improvements are never ending, with new jumps and layouts keeping returning riders facing new challenges.

The second track, is full of enough doubles and tripples to keep any rider on his or her toe's!

There are 2 jumps in particuliar on this track that I really like. The pictured table is hit full throttle coming out of a nicely bermed corner sending the rider high into the air!

The above pictured table, leads you right into what can be either a 30 foot step up, or if you hammer it, a 65 foot tripple that is actually one of the safest jumps I would consider ever doing. This jump has changed slightly since my first visit to this location, but it is for the better!

My younger brother hits one of the many rolling doubles found on this track

The kids track gets alot of use, with this facility being geared for family type fun. Children of all ages can tackle the track and parents have many places from which to keep an eye on the younger riders.

More expierenced youth riders will find this track tame, however that is not entirely bad. Dan allows yout riders who can manage the larger tracks the oppertunity to do so when the track is cleared for them. Mechanical issues kept Cody Hill from attempting a beautiful 60 foot down hill jump today, but we will return!

To wrap this up, I would like to thank Dan and his crew for making sure we were happy during our day of fun. This being Labor Day, they cooked an entire pig to serve to everyone for lunch! oh, your track doesnt do that, for FREE? Then maybe you should keep an eye on Breezewood Proving Grounds website for upcoming events;)

Dan told me that they will be also holding INDOOR pit bike races this fall, so if you are looking for a weekend of fun, dont hesitate to give this place a try!

There used to be a decent loop here, but when complaints started rolling in from neigboring land owners, it was done away with.

Dan is also looking into getting some of the local landowners involved to expand a trail system that will benefit the track, the riders and the neighbors. His goal is to design a location that can hold a few harescrambles.
