cam timing

ok guys need alittle help here. I just rebuilt the top end on my 440 with stage-2 cam, now i need to time it. Do I bring up TDCand then level the left and right marks with the center mark at 12oclock or what? Also the stock cam had some kind of oil pump stuff on it right behind the cam gear, not sure what it does or if it has to stay on any help would be great.

Yes, the two dashes go flush with the head with lobes down.

The parts behind the cam chain sprocket are the decompression from stock cam and should stay on stock cam; you dont need it ony aftermarket one.

Be sure your flywheel has the "T" in the window. There are several marks and the "F" can look like it at glance.
