well, im not sure if this sound has been there all the time, becuase i ride with my helmet on, but i was pulling it into my garage tonight, and while about 1/5 throttle in first gear i heard this wizzing sound on the oilfilter side, and in only seem to do that till 1/4 throttle, then it would disapear

also, this is the first quiet quad i have had, so i notice sounds from the motor more than before, and sometimes i also notice after i let off throttle after pinning it for a few second, when the motor starts to settle down in the rpms, it makes a wizzing sound

is this just natural motor noise (like the piston moving up and down, or pump gear or whatever) or is it something that might need adjusted or fixed?

Do you have a full belly skid on? If so you should put some rubber between the skid and frame to lessen or eliminate vibs.

no i just have the stocker plastic guard,

the sound seems to be near the side case on the oil filter side

could i just be the oilpump or drive?

Is it your chain? Lubed it lately? Mine does that when it starts to get dry.

Do you have a FCR carb? If so it's the accelerator pump.

The sound comes from the chain roller right near the front sprocket. Drove me nuts for a while till I figured it out...
