Re-Threading

Anybody with experience help me out please. I stripped the threads on the cases that are for the drain plug. Im assuming my options are to Helicoil (which im not to crazy about), or just use a larger self tapping bolt and plug it up that way. Does anybody know of any other ways to cure this. Thanks in advance!

I seem to recall that it can be drilled out and tapped for a drain screw from another ATV.

Or maybe that's a different ATV I'm thinking about altogether...

yep,just drill and tap to the next biggest size.
