Thats all I use for motor oil on all my atv's. As for tranny fluid I use the honda cd two stroke stuff.

i just use the honda brand that is reccomended by my dealer and manual
honda gn4 10/40sj for the motor
and honda hp 80/85w c for the tranny
i buy it cause its cheaper, and come in a gallon size for the motor, and a cool easy pour bottle for the trabby side

I use AMSOIL 20w50 Air Cooled motorcycle synthetic in my 330ex.
WOuld be a bit heavy for the water cooled 450r. The AMSOIL 10w40 motorcycle synthetic would be a good choice for the 450r.

Ya 2 sides. I use the red honda 80/85 2 stroke oil for the tranny and Thumper 20/50 in motor side.

you can change them at separate times.
i run maxima ultra in both sides (5w-40). i notice my engine side gets dirtier much quicker than my tranny side.
i run the new mobile1 gold cap 15,000 mile oil in my 450r now...good stuff. I use honda 80/85 weird red bottle oil in my tranny ;)
