It seems that my R likes to become low on oil out of no where. After a few rides on the mx track it will be really low. Whats the deal?

it's normal on these engines when new and ridden very hard. mine did it but eventually stopped or slowed down. I check it before EVERYTIME I start it up and I suggest you do the same ;)

Great point!! I think that many of the failed crank bearings is due to low oil !!

keep changing or re-filling the oil no matter what.

And keep in mind (might be a stupid point to you but some people don't know) that the oil level drops to almost nothing when the motor is running. On level ground with the motor cool and off, the level should be checked and corrected if neccessary.

honda says that with these high performance engines they eat up a little bit of oil all the time, so they say to always check it and add oil to it if neccessary. its perfectly normal.
