Timing or Something Else?

I just installed a wiseco 11:1 piston in my 400ex and we adjusted the timing to the right setting and it wont fire. What else could it be

even if your timing is off it will still fire.

electrical maybe? make sure everything is hooked up. does it even turn over?

it turns over and smokes out the exhaust but it just dont start and its got spark

It's not hard to check your timing. Take your valve cover off so you can see your cam sprocket or if you don't want to do that, take the 4 valve cover caps off where you adjust your rockers and when you have it at TDC all of your rocker arms should be loose.
