Just found a small hole in my radiator. Seems a bolt came out of the fan housing and caused the fan to push up against the radiator. The fan edge ate into the radiator and caused a small hole. Anyone know a temporary fix to get me through a race this weekend? Don't care how ghetto as long as it holds. Thanks

Drain it and slap some JB Weld on it.

Yeah I thought about that. I'll probably give it a try if I can't come up with anything else. As for the egg, I somehow don't think that will work for a whole 2 hour race.:p

take needle nose pliers, and pinch as tight as you can to block off the tube running through the rad....just the area that is open. Clean it off REALLLLLLLYYY well with something like carb cleaner, then load it up with either epoxy or JB weld and let it dry overnight.:)

nick, on snouffer school road, just west of 124 maybe 3/4 of a mile there is a large company called service tire. they hired a man that had a radiator shop to keep him busy after retirement. he does great work and isnt to expensive. Service Tire is the comapny name. mention you know me and the company I run to him. If needed I will call over there and tell him to hook you up.

I second that thing on mythbusters they ran a full size v8 motor for awhile and it held. i know a V8 motor runs alot more fluid and hotter than our 450's.

Mine did the same thing. And I swear you are not going to believe what I'm about to type. I put about two or three handfuls of pepper in the radiator. I know it sounds rediculous but it is a quick temporary fix.
