If it's on empty, somewhere around $30-40 for the Cavalier. For the C1500, I don't want to think about it. 26gal tank, around $70.:(

Why doesnt everyone just shut up about it. I mean not trying to be a *** about it but jesus, If your complaning about gas why did u buy the gas guzzler you got. I dont hear anyone complain about how much houses are or even the vehicle they buy. But, they will complain about the gas there putting in it. And, yet you guys still buy it, go buy a moped, start car poolin, get a hybrid car or somethin. My point is basically that people complain that its so expensive but yet people are still gonna buy it. So as long as peole still buy it and the oil we have gets less and less. The prices are gonna go up ! Its just something were gonna have to deal with

Exactly! I saw on the news that when adjusted for inflation, gas now is cheaper then it was in 1980.

and now its 3...... ?????????/

Gas was $2.69/gal. when I went out yesterday. I'm not complaining about the prices but I'm not happy about it either. I don't have a gas guzzler either. My truck is a 4 cyl. that gets around 24mpg. Mopeds and car pooling are not an option where I live because I'm in the country. I don't think a hybrid is the answer either since they are WAY overpriced. I don't think anyone will be doing much towing with one either.:blah: :ermm:

no what you saw, is dollar for dollar it is still cheaper than the gas shortages we experienced in late 70's early 80's; not overall.

Work truck Silverado on empty - $70-80 a fill up
My personal truck Silverado on empty - $50-60 a fill up
My wifes VW GTI on empty $30-35 (have to use 93 octane)

This is the USA. If you wish to drive a vehicle that gets 5mpg, so be it. Freedom of choice! If gas is too high, everyone has the right to complain regardless of what they drive!

Besides, show me a vehicle that can haul what I need for work and get more than 16mpg. I'll save ya the time looking... you wont find anything!
