i have a elka rear shock with linkage in the rear on my 450R and i did not notice it but my buddies say it bucks you all over the place. why would it do this?

the shock is a year old and does not have that much ride time on it. it is compression only. i have a +1 swingarm too.

anyone with answers please reply

The Honda has problems with that ''rear end bucking''
You say it doesen't have a rebound adjustment?

My buddy has the Elka linkage that your talking about and had problems with it. He just blew out the shock over the weekend. Elka has a new link and shock out now for it thats better they claim. But it's more money also.

i did not want to spend a lot of money getting it fixed and did not want to have to buy a new shock

i thought about selling my elka and getting axis

just a thought

If you are racing agressive MX, and your buddies who dont ride a whole lot or dont jump much will think the rear end is overly stiff.

But in reality it is setup to handle much more abuse than what they are putting it through.

If you dont notice it, it doesnt matter. Right? :D

they are actually better riders than me and put it to more use than i do. so i would not say they took it easy on it
