I've heard most people recommend against it. I don't own one, but did do some research on them. From my understanding, it makes it considerably hard to get your quad started in the cold. When I talked to WB about it, they recommended keeping your stock one handy just to get it started and warmed up if it woudn't start with the new one. Sounded like a real pain to me...

However, I think it adds about 1000 RPM, not 100 RPM.

Just my thoughts...

Not really sure...I've only known them to have them for the 400ex, but maybe somebody else can confirm this.

Dont know about the 250ex but i believe the 300ex has a couple out.
400exrider It looks from your sig you have a stock motor in your 400. From what iv read on this site its not worth geting one untill youv done motor work because u might get a little bit you speed but you will have absolutly no power and also they but the rev limiter on there to control the engine it isnt made to be held up at those rpms in stock form........If I am wrong someone correct me

i just got my shipment of stuff that i ordered for my quad, and i did order a WB Rev Kit, but after reading the literature that is with it i'm not gonna use it till i really modify the motor (which should be soon, hehe),,,here is what the instruction sheet says at the bottom,,,

"The rev kit has an improved ignition advance curve as well as a higher rpm limit (an additional 1,200 rpm), therefore it is intended and most effective on modified motors which typically rev past the original OEM CDI box limits."

i dont have one, but i know alot about cdi's and ignitions. it will not matter if your motor is stock, but if you have a modified motor, it really can help, especially with a lightweight piston. if your motor is stock, i would recomend purchasing a lightweight piston in the near future. it will not take away power from low end or anywhere in your powerband. i dont know if it makes it harder to start though, but ive never heard of such. for the 250ex, dennis kirk has a universal rev limiter that is adjustable. it should fit basically any quad and sells for $103. it is adjustable from 6500 to 12000 rpms, but dont go try to run your four stroke at 12000 rpm's

i think the stocker is set at 9300 rpms, but there is a little sticker on your frame that states it. the sticker is to the right of the left shock if you are facing your quad. later

that's what i had read on the WB site,,,so the WB rev kit would bump it up to about 10,500rpms huh?,,,,so i guess i will go ahead and put it on now, right?
