I would say NOOOO

the axle is not cracked......i'm not exactly sure what i'm looking at, but it looks like the lock ring.....that is not on the surface of the axle though...if you do not want the lock ring or the sprocket hub send them back or throw them away. they weren't part of the deal anyway. i just thru them in. the key is that the axle is not bent, broke, or cracked......if it is i will gladly refund any and all moneys.....

yes that ring, have of it was cracked off, i took it off, do i need it, and how does that antifade go on?

08-30-2005, 09:10 PM
anti-fade screws apart. put it on and screw it together then tighten the allen head bolt down. as far as the ring, that one worked ok. if not just use your stock one...let me know..........

Ok, this is getting scary.

I can't really tell when I'm looking at in the picture, so I can't help. However, we do have people on here that CAN help.

I highly suggest you get some more detailed pictures and post them, or email them to lerch or dantwo. They can help.

If you don't know what you're removing, then don't. You certainly don't want to be removing critical components. If you're pulling out a retaining ring or something, you could end up in a world of trouble.

this is what i took off...

that looks like the "lock" clip to hold on the sprocket hub. it's nothing to do with a bearing carrier as it was on the outside of the hub not on the inside where the carrier is. if it is broke which i can't tell/remember if that is what it's supposed to look like. just use the stock one when you take your axle off.....put a pic up of the area where you took off that clip....that clip is made of metal correct?

yes it is made of metal. i took it off of the above place inside the sproket hub, heres a pic without it... i put it on there to show where it came off of

All I know for sure is that is not part of the LSR axle.... The axle still looks perfect... Did you just recently have some bearing carrier problems, or do you have a problem that you just have not noticed yet???? Look inside your carrier and see if it might be missing something.
Thanks

danto i think you're right. it's on the inside, and the carrier is getting new bearings put in it because they were shot. now i'm thinking that it's a seal from the carrier that slid over....man you're good:D i know there is nothing wrong with the axle though....
