i want more top end for my 300 i have stock tire at this moment jet kit kn cleaner magnum cdi took off rev limiter and cobra full exhaust i was thinking of putting a 14 tooth onthe front and try that would i be scarcfating lowend and mid range what would be the best thing for me thanks for all the help

Drop down to a 36 in the rear Thats what I have. I had to put in a halflink. I also have 20"rear tires so it puts me arround stock gearing I hit top speed of 95kph

actually i just put a 14 tooth sprocket on my 300 ex, and it did wonders:)

I herd that a larger front sprocket wears your case saver faster.

with a 14 tooth front sprocket you have to take off the case saver otherwise it wont go on

You can run a 14T sprocket with the casesaver if you trim it down a bit.

You can do that but if your chain jumps off the sprocket or binds it will cost you. Side cases aren't cheap or easy to change. Personally I prefer the idea of changing the rear sprocket even though it isn't cheap.

A rear sprocket is cheaper and easier to change than a side case if ya ask me.
