Trailblazer beat me in a race!

I raced my freind on a stock trailblazer, and i have a 250x with pipe, k&n filter. should this happen?
it burns oil, will that slow me down noticable. It also needs jetted, how will that slow me?

actually he got the jump by about a foot, then we stayed even untill i hit trhird, i then left.
