stiff clutch

I just got a new EBC heavy duty clutch kit (all the plates and springs) and it's really stiff, does anybody else have a problem like this with any style of clutch? I lubricated the cable the best I could without taking it off, but it's still stiff, what should I do?

I had barnett springs on a stock clutch set, I ran them 6 years, took it apart to rering it before I sold it and put a timing chain in it, the clutch fibers were good as new. I know it is stiff, but you will adjust to it after a while and then it will be better, it will put more power to the ground and wear less.

An EZ pull clutch lever should help. I recommend RTC. I have one and it makes it so much easier to pull.
