300EX Chain

Yea, so i have a '01 300EX and the chain will not stay tight.
its not that its stretching, when i check the carrier (i think thats what its called) its always turning forward (thus the slacking chain).
my question is this; would this be caused by the carrier being worn out? or would it be the swingarm thats possibly stretched beyond the point of being able to tighten it enough to keep it from slipping? (if both is possible, which would be more likely to happen?)

any help would be great

Are you sure that your tightning up the two bolts on the carrier.Or maybe they are stripped.

i was thinking the same thing, so i replaced them a month or so ago, still no luck :(
any other ideas?

IDK if yours has the same problem but mine did that and my carrier bearings were shot and i had to get a new locknut for it. But after that it was all ok. Again IDK if thats whats wrong with yours but thats what was wrong with mine.

yea i was thinking it could possibly be the carrier or the bearings inside it, so im actually in the process of a new carrier/bearings bought and installed,
ill post back if this fixes it :)
