Air in the brakeline possibly? I've never had this happen with my YFZ brakes.

I had it happen on my sno-x sled but not my yfz, sometimes if there is moisture in the fluid and the fluid gets hot it must make it expand or something and seizes the brakes.I chang my fluid quite often so haven't had that problem in a long time.

The same thing happened to my son's YFZ..... The pins that the caliper slides on, get "gummed" up. Take the caliper off and remove the two pins, clean them and grease them up real good.

i will try that! and there is no air/moisture in the lines, i'm a expert level racer i know a more then the basics and thats not the problem

BTW....... to be more exact..... I'm talking about the two pins that are threaded into the "gold colored" mounting bracket, that the caliper itself slides on, not the two pins that hold the brake pads in.

to make my sons brakes even better, I removed the '04 YFZ from under his butt, and replaced it with an '06 yfz. Braking problem is now solved................ I hope.

another option is to replace the whole rear end with honda brakes, but we are sponsored by a Yamaha dealer, so that was not an option for us.

Since you're an expert, why are you asking us? Was no need to get all pissy sounding, only offering a few suggestions.

i was just saying thats would be something obvious, i would have found the problem i was simply asking if anyone else had a problem like this since another pro rider i know has had this happen, the only reason it sounded like i got pissy is becuase i get alot of stupid replies on here, for example i have 450 i'm selling, it has reb bull cans to protect the shock resivor, you know how many questions i got on how the reb bull can work as shock resivors.

you won't have the same problem on the '06. Yamaha completely redesigned the rear end of the YFZ. The '04 and '05 were basicly 15 year old "banshee" brakes, with a smaller rotor.
