I had my 416 on the dyno yesterday..wow.. first I need to thank Colby at C&D Racing. He did all of the engine work. He installed a J.E piston, port & polish, hot cams s2, three angle valve job. I put a UNI air filter and using the stock carb. Have a HMF pipe. It had a 170 main- 42 jet, Colby told me this would be close and it was..now back to the Dyno.. It was a hot and humid day 87.58 f. I was running my ITP HD with bead locks. these things weigh a ton.
1st run was : 33.87 hp Torque was 26.81
2nd run : 34.21
3rd run : 33.76
The owner of the Dyno told me you can add 3 to4 hp. because of the tires we were using
On the Air/Fuel reading was where I was surprised. He started the Dyno at 3,700 r.p.m, the A/F was at 14 (good) at 5,000 r.p.m it was 12 ( to rich ) at 7,00 r.p.m it was back up to 14, at 8,000 it was 18 ( lean) This morning I drop the needle 2 and put a 175 main then took it out riding, it has better response at low end, did not have a chance to open it up in 5th yet, can't wait to get it on a gravel road.
I was always able to beat these stock yfz 450.... I hope this proves it.
