I was wondering what you guys think about the curtis sparks exhaust for the 450r. What do you do for a spark arrestor? Oh yah, which one is better yoshimura or curtis sparks. And if you have a picture of a curtis sparks on your quad could you post it!!!
Thanks in advance

I love my sparks on my 450r, but it is loud. I have never owned a yoshi pipe, but the 2 400ex's I rode with it on them I thought it was just as loud as my sparks, but I felt more out of my e series than I did with the yoshi. Could be the jetting the gu had on his 400ex.

I seen many use yoshi to race with. I did notice more sparks pipes on 450r's than any other exhaust when I ride if that means anything.

Pappy has had good luck with his Rossier on his 450r.

I only ride on my freinds farm and he doesn't mind, so I never looked into getting one for this pipe.

For your curtis sparks what jetting did you have to do? What are the numbers on the jets and stuff?
Thanks

I picked up my atv with the hrc installed so I never touched the jetting. I did have to move the fuel air screw when I went to no lid. Otherwise I believe the hrc has a 185 main.

do the hrc include the curtis sparks?

When I ordered the sparks pipe I told them I had the full hrc kit installed and I asked about jetting they told me i'd be fine with that jetting.

Oh i got it....so does it run good with that jetting? So all you did was order the bike with the HRC kit in it and bought the exhaust and bolted it right up and it rode fine because it was already jetted for you from factory?
Sorry i just want to make sure.

Till I took the airbox lid off totally. Then it started to pop on decelleration. But once I adjusted the fuel air screw it was fine. Cant remember what I set it too off hand.

this may be off topic but for 06 do you think they'll have black still or just red then black for 07, since they might be adding stuff for 06.

Since the other models for 06 have it.

Sparks is a good solid pipe. As posted above, it is loud. Mine made good power, especially in the upper mid range and even well into top end.

I sold mine simply due to the noise. I was pretty pleased with it's performance.

I love the sparks pipe on my 330, so when I get a 450r, I'm going with sparks. I just think Sparks have a cool sound to them.
