tecate 4 racing?

how is a tecate 4 in racing and how does it compete against the 250 and 450 r?

Power wise it's in the ballpark.Handling wise it's not even close.

it can be competitive, but parts are very scarce. a tecate4 brings good money, even in fair condition. if it were me id sell it and chose another quad to race.

i thought those were all in museums by now.I used to race one back in the late 80's and did really good on ice ovals and ok in longer non technical off road races if it stayed together it broke alot.but mx it sucked.We had a arms and a wider axle there wasn't much to choose from like shocks and a-arms back then if i remember we had dura blue axle and arms with a odd steering set up to eliminate bump steer almost what the polaris uses.It was fast but fell apart mostly the KIPS valve would break and not make any power at all.keep it for fun but buy a yfz to race
