I just got done putting in a 440 with 11:1 comprsion. I also put in a stage 2 hot cam. Im impressed I quess, but does dropping a tooth on the front sprocket going to make me feel a good difference in take off? I also was wondering on the rev limiter. Is that hard on the motor? Do they make different stages in the limiters, and where is a good place to buy one?

adding a tooth up front will actually make you LOSE take off, it will gain top end. did u put a full exhaust on also, because the motor mods will work much better with an exhaust. and a rev limiter might be a good idea since you have all the motor work, i know sparks racing, white brothers, and i htink alba makes one

TC rev limiters are a good choice. No starting problems.

Are You guys talking about CDI boxes when you say rev limiters? You don't want to go down a tooth in the front with the big engine. If anything go up one in the front, because of the more HP. This is what I did. If you are hitting the rev limit then most likely you need the larger front sproket to give you more speed in each gear.

dont mean to high-jack the post but what does the rev limiter do and how do you install one. I have a 10.5:1 comp. piston with a 440 and full exhaust and filter, will this give me some more power??
