I am goin in the army as a heavy construction equipment operator so pretty much for the next 5 months i'll be gone for basic and ait.

I've been fading away from these forums over the past couple years n e ways because I've been busy w/ a lot of personal problems, football, partying, senior year, ect.

I dont even know if many of you guys remember me.:o

Thats not that bad. Rico prolly has 20,000-ish. Quadjunkies has 16,000 or so I think? God only knows how many pappy actually has.
Besides, the quality of his posts (you oughta see the guy's stunts!) was top-notch. Its a shame he wont be around.

Best of luck, and may god watch over you, where ever the army sends you.
At least you picked a MOS that will get a job on the outside. Make the most out of your army tour, and you'll cherish the memories later in life. I know I do.
Keep us posted.......

I wish the best at basic training and thanks for being such a longtime member, and I am sure that you still will have Internet access because several members post from over seas. If so, keep us posted on how things are going.

Good luck man..I remember leaving my girl and going to ft benning Ga, wondering if I would ever see here again. Then I get my orders and find out that after basic and AIT I was going to ft Campbell Ky...man thats my back yard. Not everyone gets that lucky.....Hang in there and always look them square in the eye when you talk to them...never let them know your affraid.

Thank you for serving

Remember this about military boot camp:

"It's all a big mind game. The goal is to convert invidualistic civilians into a team member who need to learn how to adapt and overcome when faced with pressing issues. Teamwork will always prevail!!"

If you ever get shipped to Okinawa look me up because I will be here for a couple more years.

Good luck at basics!
