I race motocross and I been using ITP MXR4 tires on 9 inch rims, I been very happy with them, But I think I want to try something new, Has anybody here switch from MXR4 to Razr MX's? Or visa versa?
Oh and please don't say use kenda klaws because I think they are a poor excuse for a motocross tire.

Why are klaws a poor excuse for an mx tires. Not to be a jerk or anything, I was just wondering.

i love my razr mxs over my holeshot mxr4s. they give me a better response imo and i like the way the feel. you can slide em when you wanna, get them to hook up when you wanna, and when you brake hard they give really good traction

This is only my opinon but, I think a motocross tire should not be a ballon! The klaws feel like stock tires and I hate stock tires, the tire rolls in corners and when I jump the tire is so ballony that it compresses to the rim which would cause my quad to hit the frame on jumps.

any tire will compress if run with too little air pressure. I am sticking with running MXR4's on my quad, only a few tracks around here are hard packed enough to use a razr rear as they do wonderful in hardpacked conditions. the mxr4's are more for loam terrain. i will never run Razr fronts.

I run the same air pressure in every tire I have had, "8 psi", The klaws would compress like crazy ,

that is interesting, unless kenda uses a weak sidewall, but both the razrs and klaws are 4 ply tires, whereas the mxr4 is a 2 ply, so you'd think the mxr4s would compress bad. idk. i have never ran klaws and probably wont, one tire i do wanna try is Kenda Knarly MX rear tire, i hear they are awesome in loam conditions.

Yea I know what ya mean, There's no doubt that the klaws have awesome traction, but there a little to ballonish for my likings.

i think that you should keep the holeshot tires in the back and just put razars in the front
