I got a 2004 (it looks brand new!) Z400 for $3250. Needless to say I'm stoked, going from a recon to the Z.

The only thing is has on it is nerfs. Anything I should plan on getting for it? Alba is having a big sale this weekend and I' ready to buy

exhaust, filter, and jet kit would be a good start.

Then I'd go for the suspension upgrades. The 450R stock shocks work great with +2 a-arms.

GET RID OF THAT SWINGARM AND CARRIER!!! I dont know if you have to change anything else, but my buddy had nothing but problems with his swing arm and carrier. Go with the honda style aftermarket.

it depends what you're planning on doing with it, for MX start with suspension upgrades, next do some engine work, third add a rev box, add a steering dampener, and after you do some extensive engine mods, (this works well with the honda, not sure about suzuki), use the carb off of the 450 dirtbike

Don't do that. Use shocks made for the z400 if you plan on upgrading the suspension, dont cheap out. Get a pipe, filter, rejet, then the rest depends on what kind of riding you plan on doing.
