I remember a while ago there was someone talking about wanting to leave his house and live on his own before he became 18. I remember someone saying you needed some kind of paperwork filled out, I was wondering if anyone knew more information on this, or if they had a link or anything to where I can get some answers.

you need to be emancipated. A trip to your local courthouse or a lawyer should get you the info you need.
