carb issues

i have a 400ex that sat for a year i pulled the carb off and cleaned real good and put new gas in but once everything was back together at less than 1/4 throttle the carb does this weird popping thing and stalls out or just keeps popping any suggestions would be alot of help.

what's your mods and jetting?

maybe your lean on the needle

sounds to me like the air/fuel mix screw is lean

stock with uni filter but it does the same thing with the stock filter in.
