black plastics - bad idea?

I'm looking at getting a new 06 Eiger 400. I really like the way the black looks. But is it gonna look like crap right away once it gets scratched? I know on my 250ex the black plastic on the sides is faded and not good looking. Should I go for the olive green instead?

I would really love a yellow one, but I prefer the styling of the 06 over the 05.

Lastly, say I did get it in black. Does anybody know if there are replacement plastics out for it so i could get yellow in a while when the black looks all crappy?

well i guess I was wrong. The 05 looks the same as a 06. So I can get yellow! Or should I get an 06 in black? I just dont know!

Also, were I to get an 05, since its a year old, what kind of deal you think I could get here in CA?

black plastics are a bad idea for trails. It may be okay for mx and sand. I had black fronts on my 300 when I got it and it looked pretty bad after about 3 rides. The lighter colors hold up much better IMO.
