well, i just turned 16 today, and once i get my liscence, i dont plan on driving that much, i have a job right now in town, and where i live is like city, and with gas prices, ive been thinking about buying a street scooter, i dont really have money for a car yet, as im saving back more than $4000 grand for a new xc ready 450r build to replace our old but loved 250r, and anyways, whn i drive in the winter, or whenever i want, or when i need to tow my quad, i can borrow the dodge durango we have

but the main thing is, its cheap, they have upgrades and big bores for them, and for the 50cc ones, you dont need a motorcycle liscence, besides, its not like i drive on the open road, just in town, and through the streets

it just seems real convenient to me
but heres the one i was thinking of buying, our local dealer has them for $1100 new

hmmmm...i guess it would be economical, but if it came down to having either a car or a fourwheeler, it really wouldn't be that hard of a decision. Gotta get your priorities in order, and if they are...then by all means go get you a scooter. Just remember, riding a scooter is like bangin a fat chick...lots of fun until your friends find out.

i've rode a zuma a few times. i think they're pretty d**n fun for riding around in town. i think it only topped out at about 40, but someone prolly makes pipes and stuff for em :p the best thing is that b/c they're only 49cc, you don't have to have a motorcycle license.

haha dont tell him he wont get chicks. you just gotta have fun on it. me and a couple friends ride em around every once and a while. we take them to different cities(3 close to my area) you can pull girls you just gotta act like you dont care. one night we all had the beta pocket rockets out. we were just cruising around the local strip if thats what you wanna call it. pulling in to fast food places chillin with all the bikes next to big bikes with full leather and crap on. well until a couple people got chased by the cops

Whatever you do, don't sell your quad for a vehicle... I gave up my modded out 250R for a nice '00 Z-71, put a 9" lift kit on it, then proceeded to wheel the hell out of it. Now I have, or had, a piece of crap truck, and no quad. :(

man just wait til u can get a motorcycle license and get a crotch rocket...( i know im gonna catch hell over this one) chicks love them and they are really good on gas... i had a buddy that bought one for 2 grand.. 98 model.. and somethin was wrong with it so he took it to the local yamaha dealer and they fixed it and cost 40 bucks.. he then turned around and sold it for 2800... just give buying a crotch rocket some thought:)

A guy I work with got one fo those 49cc mopeds off of ebay for $600 shipped...new. It shipped from China. I think the brand is Geely and it looks almost exactly like that. I woudl check that out before you spend $1000. That is alot to spend on a fairy looking moped. Dont get me wrong, I took his for a ride and it was fun, but you have to be pretty secure about your sexuality and ready to get made fun of if you ride that around.

Anyways, if you wan to know the name of hte company he got his from, pm me. I cant remember it right now, but I can ask him.

I checked out the suzuki DRZ400SM. Its friggin sweet, its basically a supermoto bike and street legal, my dad wants one because supposedly it gets 60 mpg, and i think its like 5,500 w/o taxes n all
