Well i mounted them up and they seem really nice but but i push down on them there is loud sqiushing noises. Idk if iam just used to the quiet ****ty stock shocks. It also seems that they dont come back to there position like i thought they would.

And could tighten the rear stock spring up a little to make a a little more stiff?

Dont worry about the squishing noise, my elkas do that too. If I'm not mistaken, someone told me it was just the nitrogen inside and the springs...;)

They are supposed to stay down and make the quad sit lower. They are ZPS shocks, they sit lower to make your quad handle better. What are you doing for the rear, because ZPS fronts and non-ZPS (stockers) dont mix too well. Also tightening the rear spring is jsut going to raise the beck end up more and throw it even farther out of whack. The idea of ZPS is to lower the bike all over. If you want to stiffen your rear you need to turn up the compression on the shock. Read the elka manual, you know the one that came with those shocks! It will tell you everything that you need to know on how to setup your compression, rebound, and for those rec shocks, it will tell you all about ride height. GO READ NOW!

That would be best. My elkas came with a really good manual. Explained everything you need to know

I know what you are saying about the fronts but my big questions is for the rear STOCk shock. The stupid nut on top of the spring is really far up almost to the top and i bottom out on the trails some times. I just wanted to stiffen them up so i would not bottom out all of th etime at rausch. So could i just tighten that spring up or is ther another adjustment that i can play with to make it a little better when i go rausch..

YES!! The compression adjustment is the little screw near the top of the shock bolt. You need to tighten it to stiffen the shock up. The rebound adjustment is down towards the bottom of the shock, by the bottom bolt actually. Tightening that spring only helps a little, but that is mainly what you use to set your ride height. Try turning up the compression to help with bottoming.

you can tighten your preload on your rear some too, but not too much. with you sitting on the bike, get someone to measure the height of the frame at about the pegs, and then about 5 inches up. there should be a 1/4 inch more in the front.

My Elkas make the same squeaky noise, i think it's just the springs on them, I haven;t had any problems, you can't even hear it when you ride
